Join Phil on this 9 miile walk starting in White Coppice, a small hamlet on the outskirts of Chorley in Lancashire. We leave the cricket ground, cross the Goit (a narrow stream) and head up onto Wheelton Moor. We continue up Great Hill to the peak where, on a clear day, you have stunning views and can see as far as Blackpool, Morecambe and the Lake District.

We will continue down the other side of Great Hill and head down Withnell Moor towards Tockholes Plantation. We follow the River Roddlesworth through the plantation before heading round the Roddlesworth Reservoirs towards Abbey Village.

We then head down the disused railway track towards Brinscall and then walk through Wheelton Plantation before heading back down the Goit to our starting point.

Following the walk we will drive to the Dressers Arms in nearby Wheelton for a well deserved drink.
