Our hostel is located in the lower slopes of the Snowdonia. Join us for a weekend of stunning scenery with stunning waterfalls, lakes and forest, and then kick off your boots and relax in this remote valley.
And, if you would like to imbibe some perfect, contemplative liquid gold, there will be a chance to bring along your favourite whisky and participate in a joint whisky tasting experience during this weekend.
What to bring
You will just need to bring the following:
- good walking boots
- full outdoor walking gear including breathable base layer, mid layer, fleece and waterproofs and rucksack with rain cover. The area is mountanous and it could be very windy, rainy, and freezing cold on the summits so having enough layers with you is essential at this time of year
- hat and 2 pairs of gloves
- walking poles if you have them
- Bring sandwiches for the walk on saturday
- a towel and washkit and bring any medication you require
- comfortable clothes for the hostel
- buffet food contribution for Friday - something hearty to feed 2 to 3 people
- Ear plugs and a headtorch care also essential at night
- Bring your camera!
Bedding is provided. Saturday's breakfast, evening meal and Sunday's breakfast are also included. You can also help yourself to teas and coffees throughout the weekend. Please bring any other dirnks you wish to consume during the weekend - such as a half bottle of of single malt whisky, if you wish to take part in some whisky tasting with others.
