AAA+ ! An amazing, adrenalin-filled and action-packed weekend enjoying the best of the Brecon Beacons - gorge walking, caving, walking behind waterfalls, scaling peaks, and warming your cockles with Welsh Whisgi at the local award-winning distillery. This weekend weill be the envy of Outdoorlads everywhere thius summer!
The Campsite
Cwmnanthir is a small, family run campsite on the western borders of the Brecon Beacons. The field based site is situated in a forwest glade alongside the Nant Hir river, surrounded by coppiced woodlands. Buzzards, herons, red kites and other wildlife complement our free range poultry, sheep and waterfowl, and the site - of which Outdoorlads has exclusive use for thw whole weekend - has a very relaxed, non commercial atmosphere.
The site is an ideal base for walking holidays or short breaks with several dramatic waterfall walks on our doorstep and Pen-y-Fan and the Brecon Beacons being a short drive away. The Dan-yr-ogof show caves and Big Pit provide a good day out; mountain bikers have the Taff trail, Afon Argoed park and the entire Brecon Beacons to explore.
We welcome friendly dogs who don't chase ducks! There is space for a large campfire, which look forward to gathering around in the evenings.
