OutdoorLads kicks off Pride 2022 with return to Exeter
Exeter has been chosen for the launch of the OutdoorLads Pride campaign for 2022, with the outdoor activities charity for GBT+ men set to join the thousands of revellers in the city for Exeter Pride, next month.
After a three-year wait for one of the South West's biggest prides, the free festival will take place on Saturday 14th May and once again is set to welcome the famous rainbow flag march, culminating with colourful celebrations in Northernhay Gardens.
Speaking of the return, Liam Russell, Programme Manager at OutdoorLads, said: "Pride is one of the highlights of our year and we're looking forward kicking-off this year's campaign in Exeter.
"Being proud, outdoors, really is what we're all about and we can't wait to catch-up with our local members in this beautiful city and maybe even meet some new ones; anyone who is at a loose end is invited to join us. And if you see us on the day, come and say hello – you can't miss us in our red OutdoorLads t-shirts."
The highly-anticipated return comes after the Exeter in-person pride events were cancelled in 2020 and in 2021, owing to the pandemic. Similarly, OutdoorLads has resumed its full calendar of volunteer-led activities for its members, including hiking, climbing, and cycling, along with social gatherings, including its BIG camping weekends, also resuming this spring and summer.
