Wuthering Heights Summertime Weekend

On the doorstep of the exceptional Rievaulx Abbey and within a stone's throw of the North York Moors Steam Railway to Whitby, we will be Yorkshire for a wild and ethereal summertime chill weekend.
Let your hair down for the duration and enjoy a truly relaxing Yorkshire experience in the sunshine.
The handsome town of Helmsley is our base and the hostel has everything we need to make a comfortable, fun and friendly home. We will be sprawling in the garden where we shall eat al fresco on Saturday night (weather permitting).
During the daytime on Saturday, there will be a steam railway trip to the seaside (optional*), giving you the opportunity of a day in the fabulous historic fishing port of Whitby travelling there and back in olde worlde stylee.
For those who are walking, there will be two walk options, one heading deep into the North York Moors, the wiley, windy moors, where we'll roll and fall in green… This walk could have a temper, like my jealousy; too hot, too greedy. We'll call it Heathcliffe.
The second walk will stick to the sumptuous valley bottoms, through streams and woodland where you can pick daisies and make chains; this one we'll call Cathy.
On Sunday morning, there will be a walk directly from the hostel to visit Rievaulx Abbey.
It's mystical, it's magical, it's summertime and the surroundings are spectacular, so put on your best hippy-chic… See you there.
*Steam railway trip not included in the event cost, return tickets £31.
What to bring
Please be aware that while all bedding is included, you will need to bring your own towel.
Apart from your outdoor gear and anything you wish to wear for a chill Saturday night, bring clothes you'll be happy lounging about the hostel (and garden) in.
Sun cream would be a good idea too…
Food & drink
Please bring your contribution for the customary buffet on Friday evening. You should think about enough to share between two people, meaning when we all add our bits together there will be a tasty, healthy and varied spread. Don't spend a fortune, there's no need. If you'd like to make something to bring, that's even better!
Saturday night's al fresco summer supper is included in the event price, as is simple breakfast fare on both days, and tea & coffee all weekend
You will need to bring your own packed lunches and supply your own drink(s).
