Technical scrambling and exposure to falls/drops.

Now the days are getting longer we can avoid the parking problems and the crowds by getting out later on. The added bonus is that you can still get your admin and shopping done during the day!

This route takes us up the north side of Tryfan past the cannon stone to just below the north tower. From here we'll cut left onto the Eastern Terrace, what the guidebook describes as a more dramatic version of Heather Terrace. The Eastern Terrace is a narrow footpath clinging precariously to the side of Tryfan, you'll need to be sure footed with a good head for heights. As we approach the summit we'll ascend Little Gully to reach the North Ridge from where we'll pop out onto the summit.

We'll aim to descend towards the Far South Peak and Heather Terrace.

This route involves scrambling and some exposure to heights/falls. The guidebook rates this route as a Grade 1 scramble. The last image is looking down on the Eastern Terrace. If you look carefully you can see a pair of walkers and their dog right at the top of the image.

Dogs: If your dog is used to this terrain and has a harness etc then fine. Please let me know in advance.

Drones: Drones are banned by the National Park Authority in certain parts of the park. Please respect their wishes to create a space of solitude and serenity by choosing to leave your drone at home.
