Castle ruins and beautiful countryside
The path takes us up to Bramber which is 1000 year old castle ruins and settlements. Leaving the castle we head north leaving Bramber we pass Wykham Farm and rejoin the old railway line. From here the ride is gentle through the West Sussex countryside, rolling over Victorian iron bridges.
Coffee stop with lovely views
Riding through Henfield we come to our second stop. Partridge coffee stop that is Adjacent to the cycle path and next to the river Adure Commanding magnificent views of the south downs.
Idyllic countryside and quiet Lanes
We will continue heading north arriving at Partridge Green. Leaving the Downs Link we ride through the village heading east passing Shermanbury using a mixture of quiet B roads and bridle paths beginning to take us south on the return leg of our ride.
Amazing views of the South Downs and the sea
Riding through Black Stone Farm the countryside is peaceful and idyllic. Arriving at Edburton and Fulking Escarpment we climb/ride up on to the South Downs Way. Ascending up to Truleigh Hill we are afforded stunning views of the South Downs and coast with the sea in the distance.
Plane spotting with tea and cake
Coming off the Downs we rejoin the Downs Link and make our way back to Shoreham Airport for a well earned cake and refreshments stop and do a bit of plane spotting.
From the airport we will do a loop of Shoreham Beach stopping to look at the old fort. Leaving the beach over the glass bridge we will arrive back at the Station and here the ride will end.
