Surrey Hills Camp 2024

Based in the picturesque Surrey Hills this camping weekend will be relaxed and informal, just like the working farm where we will be staying.
The campsite is on a working farm in the delightful Surrey countryside only a hour's drive from London or the South coast. Showering and toilet facilities are just a short stroll away. If you fancy making tea on your camp fire then wood and kindling are available at the farm's Produce Shop. You can also buy poultry, meat, sausages and burgers as well as eggs, home-made marmalade and local beers. If you don’t feel like cooking there is a very good pub just 10 minutes up the road.
Whilst there will be a planned walk during the day the evenings will be relaxed with the focus on sociable times around the campfire, rather than very late nights and loud music!
If you are new to camping we can help you discover the camper within you and how to be comfortable outdoors.
What is happening on the event: We will most likely gather round the camp fire on Friday night to catch up with old friends and get to know new acquaintances. There will be a group walk of approx. 10-12 miles setting off on Saturday morning to explore the beautiful scenery of the Surrey Hills. We will arrive back at camp in good time for campsite dinner (which you will need to provide for and prepare yourself). The camp is planned to almost coincide with the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower, look up in the night sky and you may see streaks of light as meteors burn up in the atmosphere. There may be a shorter walk on the Sunday, when some may wish to indulge in a pub lunch - we will discuss any plans for the Sunday over the course of the weekend.
Dogs: Please note that as a working farm, this campsite does not accept dogs.
Motorhomes, Campervans and Caravans: Campervans are welcome on this event, but please note that there's no EHU or hardstanding available.
