This will be mostly flat, but it will be off road and is just under 10 miles

At just under 10 miles this day walk will take in some of the adorable countryside of Suffolk.

We'll meander along the banks of the River Stour, up through the pretty village of Long Melford and finish up in Lavenham. From here we'll get the bus back to the start.

For those of you who are fans of the Wizarding World, Lavenham is home to the 14th century property De Vere house, part of which was used in the Harry Potter movies as the birth place of the most famous wizard ever - the sleepy village known in the books and films as Godric’s Hollow.

Wands at the ready if you’re a fan, or perhaps just a your camera if you are partial to historical buildings.  A Potter pilgrimage if you so choose or just a good countryside hike, the day promises to deliver lovely settings, great company and a well earned pint or two at the end.

**Transport - Please note**

For those of your using public transport, it starts and ends in Sudbury (Suffolk). Sudbury (Suffolk) can be reached by Greater Anglia trains, changing from the London Liverpool Street to Norwich line at Marks Tey and taking the Sudbury branch line. The walk could be reached on time by taking the 09:08 service from London Liverpool Street or the 09:00 service from Norwich.

For drivers, these is parking at Sudbury Train station.  Advice would be to see if you can lift share so please use the comments
