Sport climbing in Horseshoe Quarry
2 people attending
2 places left
A sheltered quarry that gets all the sun going, perfect for the first climb of the year.
If this event is full, please sign up anyway, I will increase numbers if more experienced climbers and climbing leaders can attend.
Horseshoe quarry is a great place to have a first try at outdoor climbing. With over 300 routes ranging between grade 3 and 7b+, this is the perfect event for people who have climbed indoors to get their first taste of real rock.
You must be competent at lead belaying (at least indoors) and have your own harness and pair of climbing shoes. I can lend helmets. If you are unsure about the difficulty of the event, or whether you have necessary skills & experience, please message me. More details of the climbing can be found here
Due to the popularity of the quarry, parking can fill up, so please try and car-share when possible, and arrive promptly to avoid disappointment. I can give a lifts from Manchester, just send me a message.
