Join Andy and OutdoorLads for an interactive, fun-filled Friday guided tour of the sights and sounds of Manchester! This will be a comprehensive planned walk around the city centre and a chance also to share your stories and your knowledge of the city.
We will be learning about the history of the city, as we take in many of the sights around the Central Business District, Ancoats, the Northern Quarter (including Cutting Room Square). We will also have a wander through the 'village' as we make our way to Vimto Park. We will then progress to exploring the rest of the city in a relaxed and leisurely fashion; around Chinatown, the Civic Quarter Heat Network (CQHN), Castlefield, and the Manchester canal network.
We will also be exploring a 'hidden gem' or two...
You will not need any equipment as such for this event. Just bring yourselves, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a comfortable pair of walking shoes.
Well-behaved, socialised and under-control dogs are welcome on this event.
Dogs must be kept on a lead whenever this is signposted and at the event leader's request.
Please note that some places may not allow dogs on the premsies.
This event will start at 11 a.m.
Some of us will be meeting for breakfast at the meeting point, (from 10 a.m.) So feel free to join us.
(See 'meeting times and places' below).
There will also be an opportunity to enjoy refreshments after the walk in some of the city's finest establishments.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
