Seaton Sluice and Holywell Dene half-day walk

An undemanding walk that follows the Seaton Burn through the ancient semi-natural woodland of Holywell Dene, passing bird observation hides and the grounds of Seaton Delaval Hall. The route is five to six miles.
After walking the dene, you may want to stay out and walk some of the coast and/or visit one of the pubs in the harbour village of Seaton Sluice.


What to bring
Please wear walking boots or sturdy walking shoes. Bring a hooded waterproof jacket of some sort and waterproof trousers.
Food & drink
Bring enough in the way of snack foods and water to get you through a walk of two to three hours. You may also want to bring a packed lunch to eat at the end of the walk.
There are pubs and a fish and chip shop at the start/end point.
