Seaham, Lord Byron and the Durham Coast
13 people attending
7 places left
A leisurely 9.5 mile walk from the beautiful Seaham (sometime home to Lord Byron, his house now a spa hotel for those needing a little pampering) along the County Durham coast, alternating coastal views and beach vistas with nipping in and out of verdant denes. We'll take time out to have lunch and afternoon tea on the beach, before using the train to return to Seaham from Horden to Seaham.
We'll take time to have a post walk cake before departing. Please note that this is a linear walk. We'll be parking in and leaving from Seaham and using a train to return from Horden (approx £1.70 not included).
Dogs are welcome - note that sections are a cliff-top walk with wide path, and there are good quality steps to go down into and out of the Denes.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete the Participation Statement, here, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this participation once, not for each event.
