Escape the frenzy of Christmas shopping and join us on this walk to the highest point in the Pentland Hills Regional Park instead! Despite being only a stone's throw from Edinburgh, the Pentland Hills are suprisingly wild and remote, with over 90 km² of hill and moorland, and offer some wonderful hillwalking.
On this walk, we will set off from Threipmuir Reservoir and head south into the hills. We will take in the peaked summits of West and East Kip, before ascending to the top of Scald Law, which, at 1899 feet, is the highest point in the Pentland Hills. We will then drop down the other side of the law, walking back through the hills to the reservoir to complete our circuit.
