Saturday stroll in Salford

Join ODL leader Michael for a Saturday afternoon stroll in Salford, beginning at Peel Park. We will walk around Peel Park before heading out of the park, along the River Irwell until we arrive at the Kersal Wetlands. The wetlands was once home to the Manchester Racecourse but is now part of a flood protection scheme and nature reserve. We will walk around the wetlands before returning to Peel Park where we will cross the bridge and walk around the meadow.
After the walk, there will be the option to either have a coffee and cake in the museum cafe or we can walk to The Old Pint Pot pub which is nearby (depending on what people would prefer on the day).
The walk is mostly flat and is usually quite clear but, depending on whether conditions, could be wet and slightly muddy in places around the wetlands. The walk is around 5 miles and is dog friendly.
