Romsey Town and Canals Stroll

This is a half-day circular walk exploring the historic town of Romsey and its surrounding canals, perfect if you're looking for something shorter and ideal for new members to get an intro to ODL.
Romsey is a pretty market town which you may recognise if you've ever watched The Ruth Rendell Mysteries!
We'll walk into the town centre and see some of the sites before having some time to have a leisurely explore, with time to explore the Norman Abbey should you so wish and/or grab a coffee.
We'll then follow a route walking the Romsey Barge Canal, completed 1794 but now unused and forming a stream with opportunities for wildlife spotting.
As we circle back towards Romsey, there is the opportunity to stop for a drink at the Flacks Brewery.
In the evening there will be a Romsey Social - please book onto the event separately if you'd like to attend it.
Dogs are welcome to join us on this event but we do ask the following: Please ensure you adhere to the Countryside Code at all times - see (Keeping Dogs Under Effective Control). If your dog is uncontrolled and strays in open land frightening other animals or livestock, the leader is supported by the OutdoorLads board of trustees to ask you to leave the event as this is not acceptable behaviour.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
