Join Andy and the OutdoorLads for a Summer Saturday  ride out on the wonderful East Lancashire Heritage Steam Railway from Bury to Ramsbottom, before a stunning 8 mile walk through the Greater Manchester Pennines. Taking in beautiful countryside, gentle hills, woods and the Peel Tower, with panoramic views across Manchester and beyond. This truly is a walk with that little bit extra.

There are two options;

Return Train journey then the walk

  • If joining for the steam train from Bury at 11:30hrs, please see location details below for information on booking this.

Or skip the train journey and meet us at Ramsbottom station

  • If you wish to meet us in Ramsbottom before the walk instead, please be at Ramsbottom Station at 11:50hrs.
  •  Address: East Lancashire Railway - Ramsbottom Station, Railway Street, Ramsbottom, Bury BL0 9AB.
  • There is plenty of free parking nearby.

This is a dog friendly event - so please bring your pooches along !

Dogs are welcome to travel on the railway free of charge, however they must be kept on a lead at all times.

We will have a rest and refreshments after the walk in Ramsbottom before getting the train back.
