Join ODL leader Michael for a Sunday walk along the Peak Forest canal and river Tame. We will meet outside Portland Basin museum and begin the walk from there. The walks takes us along the Peak Forest canal and into the Tame Valley, before rejoining the Peak Forest canal and heading back. After the walk, you can stay around and have a drink at the Portland Basin cafe.
The walk is around 7.5 miles and should take around three hours. There are several steps during part of the walk and a couple of small inclines but otherwise it is a flat walk. The walk is dog friendly (although I am not sure if the cafe at Portland Basin allows dogs).
Depending on weather conditions, it could be muddy in places, so you may want to bring walking boots rather than trainers.
