Why not start your AGM weekend with a parkrun?
For those who’ve never done a parkrun before – they are an incredible, positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last – no matter what pace you are (they have a tail walker to encourage the last few along). Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you walk, jog, run (or any combination of the three), spectate, or even volunteer.
Please see the course page for information about the route. The course is two laps of the park, including a good riverside path, is generally flat with one slight inclined section (up-hill, but according to myGarmin, the total ascent for the course is 12m!) and mostly on made paths, with only a short section on grass. This is a well established and well attended parkrun, currently with around 400runners each week, so regular parkrunners will need a good start to beat their PB!!
For those new to parkrun; you'll need to Register here to get you’re barcode. parkrun events are run every Saturday in hundreds of parks across the country (and around the world), so once you're signed up you can attend anywhere and aim to smash that PB!
Peel Park is approximately 3Km (40min walk) from the AGM Venue or Manchester’s Gay Village, but has great public transport and also free parking for parkrunner’s (you’ll need to show a spare barcode in your windscreen to benefit though!); See the Getting There section on the parkrun Course Page
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

What to bring
Your usual jogging outfit, it would be great to see as much ODL branded tops as possible.
Don't forget your parkrun barcode
A spare layer may be useful for when waiting around prior and after the event.
Food & drink
Bring any hydration you need!!
In true parkrun tradition, for those not rushing off for other AGM activities, we'll grab a post parkrun coffee at Atmosphere Cafe in University House overlooking Peel Park.
