Come down to Surrey for an 20km walk through undulating fields, enchanting woodlands and views over the High Weald.
This circular walk starts at Salfords railway station in Surrey and heads east, initially in a northerly direction and around Redhill Aerodrome, which has a grass runway where anyone can take flight in a helicopter or propeller plane. Passing through the village of South Nutfield, we will then make our way to Outwood along undulating fields of Harewoods, an hidden woodland with majestic 200-year old Oak trees, ancient commons, meadows and working farmlands. The charming village of Outwood boasts a magnificently restored windmill.
Continuing on our walk, we should get some good views over the High Weald, which is the flat band of land around Gatwick Airport. This area of land was once covered in forests, but these were removed to make way for arable land. Rising back to Outwood, we'll take a respite at the Castle pub, before descending on the High Weald and heading back to Salfords railway station.
