Embark on a delightful circular walk alongside the picturesque River Ore, beginning at the charming village of Orford. This scenic route meanders through lush landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the river and surrounding countryside. As you stroll along the path, take a moment to appreciate the serene beauty of nature and the gentle sounds of the water flowing nearby.
On your return journey, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Orford Castle, a historic landmark that dates back to the 12th century. The castle's impressive architecture and rich history make it a fascinating stop along the way. After your visit, unwind at a local pub, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and perhaps some traditional fare, all while soaking in the welcoming atmosphere of this quaint village.
This walk promises not only a chance to connect with nature but also an enriching experience with history and local culture.
Don't waste that space!
Late Winter walks get busy so please only book if you know you can make it. If your plans change please free up the space for someone else.
Is it dog friendly?
Dogs are welcome on the walk, but please abide by the Countryside Code (https://tinyurl.com/rlqvp3h). Please also remember not everyone loves dogs as much as you do so please be mindful of other members.
Is this your first ODL event?
Attending your first event with OutdoorLads might feel daunting. What will happen, who will be there, and what can you expect? We know that new members in particular like to know in advance more about what an OutdoorLads event will be like.
If this is your first ODL event, you should check out the information designed specifically for you on the My First Event page on the ODL website. If you have any other questions you can send a message to the leader

What to bring
Please bring appropriate clothing on the day depending on the weather conditions. Please bring warm clothes and a windbreaker jacket as it might be windy.
Food & drink
As we are a smaller group there is a local pub nearby we can go after our walk.
However if this fails we can always rely on the good old packed lunch.
