Offa's Dyke Part 6: Moel Famau (Again!) and Foel Fenlli
12 people attending
8 places left
This is the sixth in a series of day walks along the Offa's Dyke Path - the idea is to eventually walk from the North Wales Coast to the border with England in stages, taking in some beautiful scenery en-route.
This particular walk starts in the village of Llanferres and heads north-west through the Clywd Forest, taking a different route from last time to the summit of Moel Famau. From there, we'll head southwards on the Offa's Dyke Path towards Foel Fenlli, the second highest peak in the Clywdian Range. We'll skirt Foel Fenlli as we continue to follow the Offa's Dyke Path before we branch off along a byway back to Llanferres.
In total, the walk is about 7 miles. The climb towards Moel Famau is steep and so a good level of fitness will be required.
