While the long summer evenings are here I plan to run a few evening rides which are easily accessible from Manchester. The plan will be to publish the ride about 1 week before. If the weather is bad then the ride will get postponed and I will look for another suitable date.

From Chinley we explore a quieter area of the Peak District and approach Hayfield from the south. The ride includes quality singletrack, rocky bridleways and fast hardpack. Excellent views and swooping descents, including: Little Mill Descent, Lantern Pike and Chinley Churn.

For this ride you will need to be competent on red-graded descents and have a good hard tail or full suspension mountain bike. It will also be a good idea to have lights as a precaution.
