A leisurely walk and visit to Mottisfont House & Gardens. Mottisfont is a historical house, garden and country estate, owned and managed by the National Trust. Details here: www.nationaltrust.org.uk

Update 03.01.25 - Unfortunately the house and art gallery are now closed on 18th January therefore I have decided to postpone this event to Sunday 9th March.

Update  - Following a pre-walk of the intended route I have decided we will do a shorter walk to Mottisfont as the route is currently very boggy and muddy! Therefore it will be approximately 1 mile walk from the station to Mottisfont and back.

We will meet at Mottisfont & Dunbridge Railway Station before embarking on a short 3 mile walk exploring the Kimbridge Estate on the way to Mottisfont. The trail traverses Barley Hill Wood on the way back to the trailhead. The route includes a few gentle hills but most of the trail is flat and follows a mix of paths and paved roads through the beautiful Hampshire countryside.

After walking for around an hour and a half we'll arrive at Mottisfont House, If you're a National Trust member, then your admission is already free. The entrance fee is £19.00 or £20.90 with gift aid.

At the end of the walk we'll have a drink or two at the Mill Arms in Dunbridge: www.millarmsdunbridge.co.uk
