OK, so we can't promise magical weather, however you might recognise the railway viaduct....

Join us for THREE nights in the highlands!

Glenfinnan is a key location in scottish history, in 1745 Bonnie Prince Charlie landed at Arisaig from France and it was at Glenfinnan in that August that he raised his royal standard proclaiming his claim on the british crown, marking the start of the last Jacobite uprising which ended at the Battle of Culloden in 1746.

In more recent times, the scenery has made it a popular area for tourists and film makers, the 1969 film RIng of Bright Water being filmed here and more recently a certain series involving wizards got the railway viaduct involved which has brought people from all across the world.

Our weekend is one of getting to know the area a little bit better than the tourists who just stop for a few photos of the steam train that runs on the Mallaig line, there are a good number of hills big and small in the area, which ones we take a hike up will depend upon suitable leaders attending.

Our accomodation for the weekend is a converted railway carriage at the station which is a little bit different to our usual bunkhouses.
