Join Ian on this 10 mile seaside walk in North Wales in the historic resort of Llandudno.
From the town the walk takes us up onto the Great Orme headland, from here you'll see some great sea views out across Llandudno bay and views onto the famous pier, and the windfarms out in the Irish sea.
Views across to the Isle of Anglesey & the Menai Straits and in clear weather many of the peaks of the Carneddau mountains, and the summit of Snowdon.
We will also discover some of the mining history of The Great Orme itself and pass by the terminus of the tramway and cable car. It is a fascninating coastal walk, and one that gives some hill climbs too.
The terrain we’ll be walking on will be a mixture of tarmac, loose stone trails and grass land paths. Be prepared for cold winds depending on the forecast.
After the walk you may wish to grab a fish & chip supper from the many chippies in Llandudno. Perhaps a drink in one of the pubs too if you don’t need to rush off home.
This is a dog friendly walk; so well-behaved dogs are welcome. Must be on lead once we reach the Great Orme headland due to livestock present
