Little Switzerland Summer Weekend (Shropshire)

A landscape of green golden valleys rises to dramatic hills and open moorlands. A hidden history of Marcher Lords - long since dead, concealed pagan rites and legends, castles and tiny hamlets all waiting to be found. No wonder this area is known locally as "Little Switzerland".
The stunning alpine scenery includes the craggy Stiperstones, the wide views from Caer Caradoc hill fort and a wealth of hidden valleys through the Long Mynd. There is walking here to suit all abilities, across heather and rough hill tops, through meadows and secret woods, with a mewing buzzard overhead often the loudest sound. A maze of footpaths will lead you across hill tops, along ancient trackways, through river valleys and down sunken lanes to the welcoming pubs in beautiful Church Stretton.
