Kings Langley and the drama of a gay king

Delve into the past mystery of a gay king. Yes, a king of England, from Kings Langley, was gay! On this walk, we trace the footsteps of the upbringing and gay love affair of King Edward II. Could a king really be gay? This was hotly controversial, still not accepted by all monarchists even today.
In order to get inside Edward II, we shall be walking by the site of his upbringing and where he fell in love with the man who was called ‘his husband’. The walk continues through the royal hunting grounds, now preserved ancient woodlands. Look out for wild deer, I saw three when requisitioning this route. Traversing gentle hills and fields, this walk finds some of the most beautiful countryside in the home counties. You would not think you were near the M25!
The story will be narrated during brief stops along the way. You are welcome to join in and take a turn at being king by reading a short part. Or, enjoy the story as it is told bit by bit.
Dogs Well behaved dogs are welcome on this walk. Be mindful of the possibility of livestock and when crossing roads.
