8 miles with some hills

Join Ben on a lovely 8 mile walk featuring woodland, country lanes and fields of Gloucestershire with some great views (if the weather is kind).  We'll start walking through Standish Wood before making our way through fields and passing through the village of Whiteshill before enjoying some more woodland paths.  We'll walk along the lanes of Harescombe before climbing up to Haresfield Beacon.

This walk does have hills (which we'll take gently) but the views will be worth it :-)

The car park is small and used a lot by dog walkers, cost to park is £3 or free for National Trust Members, Please car share if possible. Roadside parking is possible one the lane, please don't park in one of the many passing places.

Is it dog friendly?  Dogs are welcome but please note and abide by the Countryside Code (https://tinyurl.com/rlqvp3h) and be prepared for a couple of stiles (which will be tricky for carrying dogs over / hills on the walk. Please also remember not everyone loves dogs as much as you do so please be mindful of other members.
