Bring your head torch and come on a wee walk with a difference!
Until the 1970s the railway line through Glenfarg served direct trains from Perth through to Dunfermline and onwards to Edinburgh. Unfortunately this line was closed, however it has left an amazing piece of tunnelling that you can still walk through today. Sadly, the M90 motorway has obliterated is a lot of the trackbed on the route down to Dunfermline. However, there are moves afoot to start potentially planning for the reinstatement of the route.
This walk is a 6.34 miles or 10.2 km circular walk going through two tunnels of 500 m each and through the countryside back to the start. Be prepared for some muddy parts of the route along the railway but more firm tarmac on the way out - We will be going at a leisurely pace
We may even include Balmanno Hill for a great view of Strathearn (for a couple km extra distance)...
After the walk we will go for some tea and cake for those that wish to join us.

What to bring
The track can get muddy so walking boots are advised. A rain jacket would be a good idea in case it gets wet.
