A flat circular 4 km walk through one of the least known spots on the Mersey Estuary. Perfect for blowing off the post festive steam and getting back into the New Year.
Wigg Island is a public park of reclaimed land. It's popular with bird watchers and is a nature reserve featuring some contempory art installations, the disco pig is a personal highlight.
We will explore the "island" and ponder the quesion, is it even an island at all?
After this we will venture into Runcorn for some lunch and a few drinks if you aren't doing dry January!
