Filton Abbey Wood to Bristol Temple Meads (linear walk)

Join Andrew for this 10-11 mile linear walk starting at Filton Abbey Wood train station and ending at Bristol Temple Meads. Along the way we will pass through Stoke Park (including views of the famous Dower House), Eastville Park, St. George's Park and Trooper's Hill and walk alongside the River Avon before getting to Bristol Temple Meads, where the walk ends. We may go to the pub at the end of the walk. 

As this is a linear walk, you will need to do a little planning as we will not return to the start point as part of the walk. Some suggestions include: 

- Parking in the free car park at Filton Abbey Wood station and getting the train back from Temple Meads at the end of the walk. 

- Parking near Bristol Temple Meads and getting the 10.08 train to Filton Abbey Wood. 

- Using public transport in Bristol (particularly if you're local)

Dogs are welcome to join us on this event but we do ask the following:
Please appreciate the fact that not everyone is a dog owner or lover- especially when we stop to eat
Please ensure you adhere to the Countryside Code at all times - see (Keeping Dogs Under Effective Control)
If your dog is uncontrolled and strays in open land frightening other animals or livestock, the leader is supported by the OutdoorLads board of trustees to ask you to leave the event as this is not acceptable behaviour
We cannot guarantee that this route is dog friendly - there may be styles to carry your dog across.
Your dog needs to have the stamina to keep up with the group. This may be an issue on hot days.

You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
