EXE-ploring the new and the old
8 people attending
12 places left
Join me for a relaxed walk exploring some of the new and old along the Exe estuary, walking through the beautiful villages of Clyst St Mary, Clyst St George and Topsham.
We'll be starting just south of Exeter at 10. We will then be walking along out to Clyst St Mary, over some fields and past some old churches, before coming back towards Topsham and the Estuary.
The walk will be just under 7 miles and will take us about two and a half hours without any stops, so plenty of time for some lunch in Topsham! Topsham station has approximately two trains an hour returning from our end point back to the start or direct into Exeter.
Some of us will likely stay for a drink or food in Topsham. For those who do not wish to stay, you will be finished long before the 4pm event end time :)
Dogs are very welcome and we will ensure anywhere we stop in Topsham is dog-friendly.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

What to bring
The route is relatively flat and is a mixture of tarmac or similar surface with a little bit of walking on fields. The fields were a bit muddy when I did this recently so walking shoes or boots might be advisable.
Check the forecast and bring clothing to suit the conditions. The walk won’t go ahead if the forecast is particularly wet.
Food & drink
Feel free to bring your own snacks or your own lunch along with you. Also be sure to bring some water for the trip! There are plenty of places to eat / drink in Topsham, where the journey ends.
