Join John on a Tuesday evening walk which is easily accessible from Manchester by train.
This walk will visit a couple of the highlights in Mellor in the SE corner of Stockport, starting in Marple, we will follow the River Goyt for a short distance before a steady climb to Mellor Cross and Cobden Edge, the highest point in Stockport MBC, with fine views across to Kinder Edge to the east and the Cheshire Plain and beyond to the west should the weather be favourable.
We can then return via a visit to Mellor Church before descending into Marple Bridge with an opportunity to complete the evening with a visit to one of Marple Bridge's pubs for a well earned drink if required.
