Danbury Circular - the highest point in Essex
20 people attending
5 places left
Join Robin on his inaugural walk as an OutdoorLads walk leader. At 8.3 miles this is not longest walk, but don't let that fool you. It has some nice elevation gains, up to 185m.
We will start in the heart of Danbury, Essex and head out into the countryside towards the village of Little Baddow, then back in a loop. Along the route we will take in some interesting scenery, such as Lingwood Common and Blakes Wood. As well as this, a variety of individual and architectural houses. There are several pubs in the area and we will be making a pit stop at the very popular Anchor along our route.
Transport note:
For those of you using public transport, there are trains from London Liverpool Street to Chelmsford. From there you can get the 31 or 336 bus from Chelmsford bus station to Danbury. Get off outside The Bell pub.
Is it dog friendly?
Dogs are very welcome but please note and abide by the Countryside Code (https://tinyurl.com/rlqvp3h). Please also remember not everyone loves your dog as much as you do so please be mindful of other members.
