Join Kevin, Andy, and the OutdoorLads for a Sunday walk through a beautiful, but often overlooked part of Manchester.
From the car park, we will make our way along the canal towpath to Crime Lake, before returning and heading through Daisy Nook Country Park.
Following disused branch canals and an old tramway, we'll head to the preserved industrial village at Park Bridge.
The River Medlock will lead us up Rocher Vale until we make the ascent to Hartshead Pike before heading back down the valley via Alt Hill and a former railway line through to the other side of Daisy Nook.
There will be the opportunity to visit a nearby pub for a drink after the walk has finished.
Approximately 8 miles or 13km.

Well-behaved, socialised and under-control dogs are welcome on this event.
Dogs must be kept on a lead whenever this is signposted and whenever we are in the vicinity of livestock, and at the event leader's request. It's a good idea to check what the route may be like with the event leader before booking to find out more about the potential suitability of the walk for dogs.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

Socks: A good walking sock to protect your feet
Layered clothing: Interchangeable base and mid-layer/outer layer recommended for this time of year
Hat/cap
Trousers: A pair of walking trousers over jeans and shorts etc. due to changes in weather and consider a breathable fabric where possible.

Food & drink
Bring plenty of water. There won't be anywhere to pick anything up on the way.
We'll stop around half way for a packed lunch so bring something to eat for that.
There will be regular short stops along the way so feel free to bring some snacks.
