*This walk has been rescheduled from 12th March*
A 8.5 mile walk lasting about 4 hrs 45 mins including three break stops. The route takes us through an interesting and varied valley landscape with different kinds of woodland and open country. We descend into the valley area, the terrain is mostly good, but be prepared for some muddy patches (see photo), a couple of shallow streams and a few stiles. Waterproof footwear is essential. This walk includes a number of moderate gradients. The walk leads us eventually to a picturesque waterfall then a meander back through a peaceful woodland and back up the valley to our start point. Bring something waterproof to sit on for breaks.
Post-walk we'll drop into The Pack Horse NE16 6NS a couple of miles down the road for a drink. https://www.greeneking-pubs.co.uk/pubs/tyne-and-wear/pack-horse/
