Clougha Pike, Lancaster - Moonlit Night Walk
6 people attending
3 places left
Aimed at Lancaster locals as a locals’ winter adventure - A Wednesday evening walk up Clougha Pike hopefully with fantastic moonlit views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. It will be cold, dark and certainly wet underfoot, and a steep climb, so not for the feint hearted.
No dogs due to Land Owner restrictions (except guide, hearing or assistance dogs) are allowed on this walk.
Hopefully we’ll have a clear night and full moon. Bring some food and a flask! Headtorch essential, though hopefully we won’t need them with the moonlight!
If the weather’s sh*t, we’ll bail for some food at the Herbarium in Lancaster.

What to bring
Please bring all your winter walking gear: waterproof jacket and trousers, hat, gloves and scarf and an extra fleece in case it gets really cold. Walking boots are a must. Spare clothes in case you twist your ankle and need to stay warm whilst you wait for help. See the ODL page for walking gear advice.
Head torch essential.
Food & drink
Bring food that you can eat on the move (it might be too cold to stop) and a hot drink.
