The walk begins in Calver village, situated in the south-east of the Peak District National Park. From here we will follow a footpath out of the village, passing historic Calver Mill and along the River Derwent towards Froggatt Village. Continuing through beautiful woodlands and wide open green valleys towards the village of Grindleford. From here, the walk ascends out of the village through Haywood and up onto Froggatt Edge for some stunning views of The Hope Valley.
At this point we can break for lunch before descending into Curbar Woods and along the hillsides towards the village of Baslow, looping back along the Derwent again before returning to Calver. There will be an opportunity for drinks at The Bridge Inn after the walk.
