Over the Easter weekend this year, we have two Munro day walks back to back. The second of these will the much loved Buchaille Etive Mòr - its imposing north buttress, as seen from the A82, making it one of the best know mountains in Scotland.

Buchaille Etive Mòr is actually a pair of Munros - Stob Dearg (1022m) and Stob na Bròige (956m).

After an initial ascent up the steep Coire na Tulaich we will tackle the ridge from NE - SW taking in both Munros, before returning by the Lairig Gartain. The total distance is just over 8 miles, but the route includes a tricky scree slope and scrambling along some bouldery sections. In mid-April, there may still be some patches of snow on the higher ridge sections of the walk and you should come equipped and prepared for walking in winter conditions

Why not make a weekend of it and also join us for a walk up Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a'Chreachain on Saturday 15th April? There are a number of places to stay nearby in Tyndrum, Bridge or Orchy or Kingshouse - but early booking is advised as they will likely be fully booked over the Easter weekend. Camping in the idyllic Glen Etive is also an option - it's still pre-midge season! If you are attending the post-Easter Skye Adventure Week, why not extend your trip to include both of these walks on the way there?
