This event is intended for attendees of BIG Summer Camp 2024.
- 1h15m stand-up paddle board hire.
- Basic introduction to SUP on land before you set off
- Buoyancy aid
- Wetsuit (though it should be warm enough without!)
- SUP followed by one hour use of the 6-person horsebox sauna ("Gloria") and galvanised plunge tub
Just around the corner from BIG Summer Camp on the Worthing beach front, join us for a seaside SUP and Sauna!
This is a one hour and a quarter session of board hire, including a basic intro to SUP if you're relatively new to it. After this, you'll have use of the horsebox sauna and galvanised plunge bath (and plunge sea) for an hour. As there's only room for 6 in the sauna, there'll have to be rotation between plunges. Appropriate swimwear must be worn in the sauna and on the beach.
If you've been paddle boarding on a lake before, it's a bit trickier on the sea! If there's any breeze forecast, the water may get a bit choppy 🌊. It'll be a lot of fun bouncing around on the waves and most probably falling off, but you'll have an expert instructor keeping an eye on you from land.
The folks at GLO Wellbeing are super nice and welcoming, and love running sessions with OutdoorLads, so we're glad to be back with them this year!

What to bring
Wetsuit or swimwear
If you don't want to go barefoot, a pair of water shoes, or trainers you don't mind getting wet
Towel (big enough to change under)
Change of clothes in case you get a bit wet
Waterproof camera if you have one!
Food & drink
No food and drink will be provided. Bring plenty of water, and any snacks you wish to keep you going. There is a popular cafe very nearby.
