This is one of the events organised as part of Big Spring Camp 2024.
Join Mark and Kev on an afternoon walk to the picturesque town of Betws-y-Coed, which is about 4 miles from the campsite (making the walk about 8 miles in total).
The walk, which is relatively straightforward and suitable for beginners, goes through an area of woodland containing some old mine workings, the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall and the small lake of Llyn y Parc. On arrival in Betws, which has quite a few shops and cafes, and we'll have about an hour's free time to look around before re-grouping for the walk back to the campsite.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement

What to bring
This is a relatively easy walk that doesn't require lots of kit, but you can find some suggestions for a day walk at My first walking event | OutdoorLads
Food & drink
Bring a packed lunch with you, or you can grab something whilst in Betws-y-Coed. Either way, bring some water to keep you hydrated during the walk.
