BSC2019: Zumba (Sunday 17:00)
18 people attending
12 places left
Why not come down to the Marquee, (the Lawn if it is sunny) and have a dance with your mates.
Don't worry though, Zumba is not a Dance class, you do not have to be super fit, or 19 years old to do it, most of my participants are women in there 50's and 60's. I don't care if you go left while I'm going right, or if you kick while I do jazz hands, it isn't about getting it correct, it is about having fun. So long as when I turn off the music three routines in and I can hear you laughing and panting, I think the class is going well. So why not come down and get sweaty and have some fun with a bunch of lovely men. :)
(P.S. if the weather is nice and we move to the lawn, I have no theoretical limit on the number of people that can join in so don't worry if you end up on the waiting list.)
(P.P.S. Prizes for best dressed and best dancer.)
What to bring
Whatever you would normally feel comfortable working out in:
- Gym shorts or jogging bottoms
- T-shirt/vest top
- socks
- The slippiest pair of trainers you own. (you want the ball of your foot to be able to swivel as freely as possible so there is less stress on your ankle)
- A towel to wipe the sweat from your head is sensible.
- A sweatband if you have one.
Food & drink
Bring at least one litre of water, you will be getting sweaty, 45 minutes of Zumba is a 400 calorie burn even for beginners, I'll burn close to 900 calories so I will be stopping for water breaks as well.
