This technical mountain bike ride will take in some of the stunning natural trails between Betwys-y-Coed and Moel Siabod. It is aimed at regular riders who’s bike must be in good working order and have front suspension as a minimum.
The ride will be a short drive from BSC so after meeting we will end up hopping in a few cars and heading to the start down the road in Betws y Coed. Please bring some food and drink for the ride. As we are starting and finishing in Betws we will no doubt enjoy some ice-cream and the hospitality of a local hostelry at the end of the ride.
What to bring
A bike - preferably one that works has bouncy front and possible even a bouncy rear If you could do your bike maintenance faff before meeting that would be good!
Spare inner tubes - no one wants to be patching a puncture on the trail side
Tools - to mend your trusty stead when he/she breaks
Clothes - look at the weather, remember the mountains are colder than the city. Padded shorts (no one wants a bruised gouch.
Helmet - must be shiny. No helmet, no ride.
A pump - everyone loves a good pumping
A bag - to keep your bits in
Lube - or pre lube your drive train
Food & drink
Please bring enough food and drink for the ride which will be approximately 4 hours long. Remember if its hot you will need more water, If your hungover you'll need more water,
