BSC2019: 110km Road Cycling (Saturday 09:30)
4 people attending
8 places left
A rather lengthy road cycle loop from the campsite including hills, valleys and coastline. We will start the day with a slap across the face climbing over to St Asaph; once the morning's work is complete we will bimble along the coastline to Conwy and back up the valley to the campsite.
The route is visible here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29571738
It’s Wales, so hills can’t be avoided, but we should be rewarded with some great views, sweeping roads and long fast descents. It will be a bit noisy with the A5 above our heads as we cycle along the coastline cycleway but hopefully we can have cinder toffee and candy floss as a consolation prize.
As the route is organised by Will, there will be compulsory tea and cake at least once during the day.
Sorry to say, this route is only suitable for the experienced road cyclist. If you have just bought your first bike, or just rediscovered your paper round bike in your parents garage, there will be a much easier and shorter cycle on the Sunday to Conwy castle (weather permitting).

Food & drink
I usually try and include at least one pub and or cafe for tea/cakes/lunch but I can't guarantee it. Bring plenty of snacks just in case. At approximately the half way point we will be passing through St Asaph and then meandering along the coast to Conwy so the chances of a pub and cafe are high.
