BSC 2019: Canoe Journey Day (Saturday)
10 people attending
0 places left
1 person waitlisted
The Conwy is steeped in canoeing history, and has sections for every type of paddler, from placid touring to twisting and powerful gorges. This activity will involve a journey by open (Canadian style) canoes – often paddled tandem.
Choice of venue may be weather (and tide) dependent.
What to bring
Bouyancy aids, helmets and cags are provided, but you'll need to wear loose fitting clothing including waterproof (hiking) trousers / shorts, a base layer and a fleece if it's chilly. These should be preferably made from man made fibres such as nylon or polyester. In theory you won't go in the water, but it is a possibility so don't forget to take a towel and a change of clothes. Wear an old pair of trainers you don't mind getting wet. Flip flops are also fine if the weather's good. Ensure you have any personal medical items with you and don't forget a packed lunch and a drink.
