BPW 2024: Frogatt & Curbar Edge (Sat 09:45)
29 people attending
1 place left
This event is part of the Outdoorlads 2024 *BIG Peaky Weekender* and participation is intended for those attending the weekend event.
Join Fletch on this fantastic walk along Curbar & Frogatt Edge in the White Peak. The walk will take in views over the Hope Valley towards Kinder Scout and views over the moors to Sheffield. We will wander through the Ancient woodland of Padley Gorge with its cascading waterfalls & weirs. This certainly is a picturesque part of the walk.
We will visit Longshaw Estate for refreshments during the walk and maybe an optional pub stop after the walk.
Returning via white edge and hopefully the latter part of the walk we will get to see the Highland cows that graze on Birchen Edge.
The walk will be around 10 miles and take around 6 hours including refreshment stops.
