THE BIG SPRING CLIMB IS BACK
After a break in 2023, we are back in Sheffield for The Big Spring Climb - a weekend of climbing (indoor and outdoor), bouldering and social events.
Links to individual events will be added to this page when they are confirmed - keep checking back.
If events are full, please join the waiting lists, we will allocate more leaders and increase capacities wherever possible.
Please join the telegram group for the weekend to stay up to date, arrange car sharing and share any photos.
Friday 12th April
Drinks in a city centre bar to welcome those arriving from outside Sheffield.
Saturday 13th April
Indoor Bouldering at the Hangar - beginners. - experienced
Outdoor Climbing - Stanage Edge
Social - join the Sheffield team for a tour of some of our coolest bars and clubs.
Sunday 14th April
More indoor climbing and bouldering at Awsome Walls for those who have survived the night:
Indoor Climbing - Beginners - Not climbed with ropes before but want to give it a try? Or just a bit rusty and need a refresher? Sign up here!
Indoor Climbing - Experienced - For people who are confident roped climbers.
Indoor Bouldering - All abilities - Join us at the Awesome Walls bouldering wall - beginners very welcome.
What about Transport?
Sheffield is located close to the M1 and has good bus and rail links to other parts of the country, including regular trains to Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Newcastle and London.
If you are taking the car, please car share where possible. Join our Telegram chat to arrange/offer a lift.
What about accommodation?
For this event you are free to pick your own accommodation according to your preference of budget and location. If you have friends in Sheffield, give them a shout and see if they've a spare bed or floor space for a couple of nights. And if you have a spare room and you'd be happy to put up a fellow ODLer (or more), then please to leave a comment in our Telegram chat.

You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
