- Setting off from Arnside Pier
- Walking along the cliffs with views across Morecambe Bay
- Visiting Silverdale Cove with its pebbly beach
- Walking round Jack Scout, common land on the coast
- Passing the chimney on the beach at Jenny Brown Point
- Then heading inland through woodland trails round Silverdale
- Passing Arnside Tower
- Skirting round the bottom of Arnside Knott
- Dropping back down into Arnside.
This walk will involve a short drive (10 miles / 17 minutes) to the start location, we will arrange when we meet on the day for people to car share - please be mindful when parking on Friday evening that you may need to access your car for this walk. Free parking is available on the road in Arnside, close to the start of the walk.
Please remember to bring water and a packed lunch - there are no options en route to stop for lunch.

What to bring
Water: bring at least two litres

Boots: Waterproof and breathable and designed for hiking. NOT suitable for trainers.
Socks: proper walking socks will keep your feet dry and help prevent blisters
Layered clothing: lets you quickly adapt to changes in the weather and body temperature. Go for a base layer (vest or t-shirt) and a mid layer (a micro fleece or shirt) and an outer layer (a windproof jacket or thick fleece)
