Beaminster and the Heart of Dorset

Explore this off the beaten track part of Dorset, far from the madding crowds of the coastline in June.
This part of Dorset is a rural idyll of patchwork of fields and pretty villages, intermingled with historic landmarks sites of ancient battles, and hilltop views. Come and see this on this relatively easy Saturday ramble.
Our route will take us west from Beaminster out to Broadwindsor, then crossing Burstock Down before returning via pretty Stoke Abbot and hopefully a pint at the New Inn, terrain will include downland farmland and heathland, and should include some nice views.
